Public Event: Gaza
You are invited to come and hear Peter Larson’s reflections on his recent trip to Gaza in mid-November 2015 entitled, “The youth of Gaza face the future”, followed by a discussion on what Canadians could do to be of help to the young people of Gaza.
This was Peter’s first visit to Gaza, where he was hosted by Mission & Service partner, the DSPR-Gaza’s Near East Council of Churches.

About Peter Larson:
Peter’s professional background includes periods at the Public Policy Forum, the Conference Board of Canada and the French language daily “Le Droit”. In addition, for many years he was well known as a syndicated columnist with the Southam Newspaper chain. He has authored or directed many studies on governance and public administration, and has worked as a consultant in Canada and internationally on projects with the Commonwealth Secretariat, and various UN agencies including the ILO and the UNDP.
In recent years, he has taken a particular interest in human rights issues in the Middle East. He has made several trips to the area, including the Palestinian occupied territories of the West Bank, Israel, Egypt, Jordan and Iran. Peter graduated in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1968. He also holds a Ph.D. in Political Economy from Université de Grenoble, France. In addition to English, he speaks fluent French and passable Spanish and Italian. He lives in Ottawa.
